Every year we honor the memory of the six million Jews killed during World War II and the brave men who risked their lives to do the right thing and save thousands of innocent people. On this occasion, the theme of the ceremony was  "The Eighty years of the salvation of the Jews in Bulgaria" with the participation of Mr. Alberto Bejarano, Holocaust survivor, Mr. Roman Stoyanov, grandson of a Righteous Among the Nations and Dr. Mario Sinay, Educator and Pedagogue of the Holocaust, as moderator.*The Righteous Among the Nations are non-Jewish individuals who have been honored by Yad Vashem, Israel's Holocaust memorial, for risking their lives to aid Jews during the Holocaust.Students who attended were really moved by some of the words and ideas mentioned during the ceremony and they left reflecting on what can they do to be better versions of themselves. Some of the students commented on the importance of never forgetting these events in order to not repeat them ever.

But man was created alone to teach you that whoever kills one life kills the world entire, and whoever saves one life saves the world entire. - Gideon Frieder
